Conference and Lecture Papers

Our extensive research seminar and conference programme provides a forum for theatre historians, scholars, postgraduates and theatre artists to share research and foster collaboration. Each year we run the Shakespeare Globe Theatre History Seminar, the Shakespeare and Performance Seminar, the Globe Postgraduate Research Seminar, and on average 1-2 conferences that will focus on a particular theme. Past conferences include:

  • Architectural Symposia (2005);
  • Shakespeare and Terror (2006);
  • Stage Blood Roundtable (2006);
  • The Fortune Symposium (2006);
  • Shakespeare in Venice (2007);
  • The Blackfriars: Outside In / Inside Out (2008).
